About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor environments such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses, identify potential threats, and help protect people and property. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Candidates must complete 16 hours of on-the-job training. Full-time hours are not guaranteed. The starting wage is $23.29 per hour. DailyPay is available to GardaWorld employees. Benefits and coverage may depend on hours worked and the contract.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• At least 2 years of Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience.
• An active DC security license.
• At least 21 years of age, as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.
• Experience using Microsoft applications or Google applications and security systems.
• Experience with Incident/DAR reports.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
