About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Garner, North Carolina, you will help safeguard clients and provide customer service. The role includes monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, supporting access control and other security-related operations, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. The work environment and conditions may vary by client site.

The listed schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.36 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Monitor assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents.
• Support access control and other security-related operations.
• Communicate professionally with employees and visitors.
