As a Security Officer Screening Monitor in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and team members, and help support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen people, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized entry attempts to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including shipping, receiving, and dock areas, as location conditions may vary.
