As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support access control functions. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen people, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and/or operational spaces.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas of the location and perimeter, noting conditions, activity, and/or concerns that may require follow-up.
