About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The position is based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and offers exposure to a variety of sites and the opportunity to develop security experience and pursue advancement within the company.

The role provides 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary from week to week and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly. Officers must accommodate irregular shifts, including last-minute changes with little to no advance notice, to support client and branch needs. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned sites are required. The pay rate is $17.32 per hour.

Requirements

• Be available for varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
