About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role provides hands-on experience at a variety of sites and opportunities to build skills and pursue advancement within the company. The position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and pays $19.04 per hour.

The officer works 30–40 hours per week on a schedule that varies from week to week. Shifts may be assigned by a manager or picked up through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Days, shifts, locations, and assignments change regularly. Officers must be prepared for irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel the required distance to work locations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws, as a condition of employment.
• Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
