About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Flex Coverage in Phoenix, Arizona. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that designated site and schedule. The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In addition to the anchor shift, officers may claim available extra shifts through the company's scheduling platform. Additional shifts can provide opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $19.17 per hour.

The officer will provide customer service and security at a logistics and distribution location, following site policies and access-control procedures. Duties include verifying credentials, maintaining entry records, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen, as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying employee, visitor, contractor, and delivery-driver credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle-entry records; issue access credentials as authorized; and report access discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established notification and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
