Security Officer Part Time Armed Access Control Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to support a government location in Crozier, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service. The role requires an armed guard card or license and adherence to applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site-specific post orders. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 21 years old for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law, and employees must participate in industry-specific security training.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location while following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency-response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry according to visitor-management and restricted-area procedures.
- Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site-specific post orders.
