Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver to serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location in Owego, New York. The role involves conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding professionally to security concerns, and providing customer service in a dynamic environment. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. The stated schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The pay rate is $25.72 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Industry-specific security training is provided or required.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation for patrols, incidents, inspections, and other security-related activities.
- Provide customer service, communicate clearly, and uphold integrity through teamwork.
