About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer in Brookshire, Texas, to serve and safeguard clients at a retail grocery location. The role conducts armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintains a visible security presence, and responds professionally to security-related concerns. It requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law. The officer must participate in industry-specific security training and maintain required armed credentials and authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site requirements. The position pays $17.25 per hour. The listed schedule is: Monday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM; Tuesday and Wednesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; and Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Requirements

Valid driver’s license, as required by Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
Texas Level III Armed Certification.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required before employment, subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail grocery location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential theft, unauthorized access, and policy violations, and document observations and incidents in required reports.
Maintain required armed credentials and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific requirements.
