About The Position

A & Associates is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. The role requires knowledge of security protocols and conflict management, along with a commitment to upholding security standards while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. The position is performed in person and pays $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement or military service.
Strong knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
Excellent conflict management skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security management best practices.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail to identify potential threats.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments.

Nice To Haves

First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
Proficiency in operating surveillance systems, including CCTV technology.

Responsibilities

Monitor the main entrance and lobby.
Complete hourly foot patrols of the facility and parking areas.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
Operate security software and apps to complete activity and incident reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Monitor property to prevent property damage.
Manage conflicts effectively and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current on security practices and emergency response protocols.
