As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Visitor Check In in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist visitors with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate with airport personnel. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, roadways, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders according to established procedures.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and assist with directing visitors and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, while maintaining professional communication with airport stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.
