About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will help maintain a secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting security-related activity. Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and helps deter incidents through a professional, visible presence.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles and shipments in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
