Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
