As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Site Assurance in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, visitors, and staff with professionalism. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at ferry terminals and waterfront facilities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, boarding zones, waiting areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with maintaining orderly passenger flow during boarding, disembarkation, and service disruptions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to site management and emergency responders as needed.
