As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Tablet Reporting Patrol in La Crescenta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
