Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic areas to help support authorized entry, visitor direction, and compliance with location protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or security-related activities in a clear and timely manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
