Security Officer Full Time Access Control Operations
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for Access Control Operations at a logistics and distribution location in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. The officer monitors entry points, verifies authorized access, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicates professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers while supporting a welcoming environment. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and pays $20.01 per hour. Duties include following site-specific procedures and access-control policies, supporting emergency response activities when appropriate, documenting visitor and vehicle activity, conducting facility and perimeter patrols, responding calmly to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports and shift communications.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following site-specific procedures and access-control policies and, when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials or authorization, document visitor and vehicle activity, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain access-control logs, incident documentation, and shift communications according to company and site procedures.
