Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a utility location, verify credentials and authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access records, and communicate relevant security-related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
