As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Credential Verification in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a critical utilities location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use technology to document security-related information, communicate clearly with site personnel, and help deter unauthorized access. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit, communicating professionally with site personnel, and following established security-related protocols.
