About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Identity Access Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. At a dynamic utilities location, you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor entry points, and assist visitors and employees with professional service. Your visible presence and clear communication help support a secure environment and help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor documentation in accordance with established policies.
- Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-related records; issue and recover authorized access credentials as directed.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations through appropriate reporting channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entry points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
