About The Position

MSC Security, LLC is hiring full-time and part-time unarmed Security Officers for foot patrol at a shopping center in Montgomery Village. The stated schedule is 40 hours per week for full-time or 16 hours per week for part-time, working 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pay is $19.00 per hour. Full benefits are available to full-time employees only. Officers maintain activity logs and detailed incident reports, conduct walking or vehicular patrols, and enforce customer rules professionally and courteously. The role requires punctuality, proper uniform, effective communication with the public, and the ability to identify and respond appropriately to emergencies and other critical issues. Duties may involve standing or walking for extended periods or lifting, as specified in post orders. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have legal work status in the United States.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pass a drug screening.
Have reliable, functional transportation; public transportation is not acceptable.
Own a cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors.
Pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions.
Hold an active Maryland Guard Card.
Hold a full, active driver's license.
Be able to perform duties in post orders, which may include standing or walking for extended periods or lifting.
Be familiar with mobile technology, such as tablets and smartphones.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain a daily log of activities during the assigned shift and at the assigned post.
Document incidents occurring during the shift in detailed incident reports.
Conduct walking or vehicular patrols throughout the shift.
Enforce customer rules in a professional and courteous manner.
Arrive on time and in proper uniform at the assigned post.
Interact and communicate with the public.
Assess and evaluate emergencies and identify critical issues quickly and accurately, responding appropriately.
