About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Weekdays in Smyrna, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, including by vehicle as needed, helping to support a calm environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, support badge and entry procedures, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and routine activities in required reports, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
