About The Position

Quail Ridge is seeking friendly, dynamic licensed Community Safety/Security Officers to protect and serve its members, guests, employees, property, and other resources. The role includes gatehouse and patrol duties, assisting residents and members, verifying guest authorization and processing community entrants, monitoring grounds and homes, responding to emergencies and incidents, and performing other duties as assigned. The position is full-time, working the second shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

• Current State of Florida D and G security/firearms licenses, with state requalifications and active license status maintained; unarmed officers need a D license and active license status.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Florida driver's license.
• Obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and first aid certifications.
• Must be insurable under Quail Ridge's motor vehicle insurance policy.
• Knowledge of safe, efficient operation of vehicles, golf carts, and other equipment.
• Ability to use computers and department software programs.
• Ability to remain calm, think, and make decisions under stress.
• Willingness to take initiative and perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to walk extensively and sit or stand for extended periods while performing job functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in various forms.
• Physical ability to run and jump; protecting oneself from physical harm may be required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Military, law enforcement, emergency medical, or significant security experience is preferred.
