About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site in Pittston, Pennsylvania, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift serves as an anchor schedule and requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may provide opportunities to work across multiple sites and increase hours, potentially up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Friday, 12:30 PM–7:30 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

The role provides customer service while carrying out site security procedures and policies. Duties include monitoring access at a retail distribution location, observing vehicle and pedestrian activity, responding to incidents, and patrolling designated areas. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening requirements. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles; licensing may also be required under applicable law.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license that is not expired or suspended and is recognized in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with access control systems and badge management, including issuing, tracking, and managing access badges.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort and proficiency using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to associates, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control points at a retail distribution location by verifying authorization, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian activity, and report unusual conditions and access concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established communication and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
