About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned site in Pittston, Pennsylvania. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary by week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The position pays $19.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position.

The officer supports site security and customer service at a retail distribution location. Duties include access control and badge-related procedures, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining records, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Be subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location, verify credentials, and authorize access in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established protocols, and communicate with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
