About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed driver patrol officer in Chicago, Illinois, serving an educational institution. The officer conducts foot and vehicle patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provides customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners. The driving role requires a valid driver’s license. The position involves responding to incidents and emergencies, following site procedures, and communicating with campus stakeholders and emergency responders.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and assist with access-control procedures, direct visitors, and report access concerns.
Maintain a visible presence and communicate professionally with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
