About The Position

Walden Security is seeking dedicated and vigilant armed and unarmed Security Officers for third-shift work in Nashville, Tennessee. Officers protect clients’ industrial and commercial properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry while helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for facilities, personnel, and visitors. Clients include office buildings, residential properties, distilleries, financial institutions, telecommunications and manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and other organizations. Entry-level candidates are welcome, and the company provides training to help officers obtain and maintain a Tennessee security license. A resume is required for consideration.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Availability for third-shift work.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Observe and report suspicious activity, incidents, and safety hazards.
Enforce company policies and procedures, including access control and visitor management.
Assist and direct staff and visitors as needed.
Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical situations, fire alarms, and security breaches.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and interactions with law enforcement or emergency services.
Inspect premises regularly to identify and address potential security risks.
Protect client properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry.
