Security Officer in Johnson City
About The Position
Walden Security is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a government building in Johnson City. The officer will control access, greet and log visitors, and conduct periodic rounds on foot inside and outside the building. Security Officers protect client industrial or commercial properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with coverage of extended hours required on certain dates—for example, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday and third Thursday. Additional hours may be needed depending on schedule variances. The role includes initial training intended to prepare employees to earn Security Officer Certification. Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Ability to work the stated weekday schedule and cover required extended hours.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the building.

- Conduct periodic indoor and outdoor rounds of the building on foot.
- Protect client property against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry.
- Cover scheduled extended hours and additional hours as needed.
