About The Position

Securitas is hiring Campus Security Officers, Warehouse Security Officers, and Armed Security Officers in Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Suffolk, Virginia. We are looking for individuals to join our Security Team. The pay range for these positions is $16.50 – $20.00 per hour. All Security Positions are Full Time with all shifts available, including weekends. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Pass a lifetime background and drug test.
Valid Driver’s license for some positions.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Weekend availability required.
Must have excellent communication skills and be professional.
Visible body piercing accessories or visible tattoos are not permitted, unless authorized.
Must have excellent Customer Service skills.
Must pass our drug screen and background check.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.

Nice To Haves

Security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
