About The Position
Securitas is hiring Campus Security Officers, Warehouse Security Officers, and Armed Security Officers for positions in Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Suffolk, Virginia. These are full-time positions with all shifts available, including weekends. The role involves observing and reporting activities and incidents at assigned client sites to ensure the security and safety of property and personnel. Responsibilities may include frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods, potentially involving climbing stairs and navigating uneven terrain. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may also be required.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Pass a lifetime background and drug test.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Weekend availability required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be professional.
- Visible body piercing accessories or visible tattoos are not permitted, unless authorized.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Must pass our drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.
Nice To Haves
- Valid Driver’s license for some positions.
- Security experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site.
- Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
- Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time.
- May involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
