About The Position

As a Security Officer at a manufacturing facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location. This is an unarmed security role focused on monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, report observations, and work collaboratively with the Allied Universal team. The position is full-time, pays $19.11 per hour, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor entry in accordance with site policies and procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and responding personnel.
