About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients in a residential community in San Diego, California. In this overnight unarmed mobile response driving role, the officer conducts vehicle patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, responds to security-related concerns, and provides customer service to residents and visitors. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $20.60 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, residents, and Allied Universal leadership.
