About The Position

As a Security Officer Mobile Response in Ithaca, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, including retail and malls. At a retail location, you will drive and conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns. The role is full-time and pays $19.00 per hour. The stated schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Accurately document incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.
