About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Response Driver in Raleigh, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government corrections location. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The driving role requires strong communication, sound judgment, and customer service. You will carry out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities, monitor access, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and company policies.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
Conduct regular and random armed vehicle and foot patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information as required by site procedures.
Maintain qualifications for armed assignments and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.
