About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Response Driver for a manufacturing and industrial location in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The officer will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, help deter incidents, and provide customer service. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The listed schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.54 per hour.

The role involves responding to incidents and alarms, following site-specific security procedures and escalation protocols, and reporting hazards or unusual activity. Employment is subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post instructions and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
• Maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Report hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Provide customer service.
