Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
- Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
