As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Coordination in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor arrivals, and following established entry and exit procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Support the orderly movement of vehicles and personnel around the location while maintaining accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information.
