About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor alarm panels, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems, maintain a visible presence, and communicate professionally while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing badges or passes as authorized, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Observe entry points, gates, and receiving areas for unauthorized access, unusual activity, and policy violations, and promptly report concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document events and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, perimeter, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
