As a Security Officer Part Time Care Patrol in Baltimore, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:30 PM - 08:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and directional support in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, healthcare staff, and emergency responders regarding incidents and observed conditions.
