About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Driver in Houston, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location. You will help manage site entry, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. The position pays $17.40 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor access requirements before permitting entry to restricted areas.
Monitor access points, gates, and vehicle entry locations, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
