About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control Driver to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Portland, Maine. This unarmed patrol role involves customer service, routine patrols, access control support, and responding to incidents. The position requires driving and a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports; communicate professionally with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
