About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Whitsett, North Carolina, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location by managing site access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and assisting visitors and employees. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, use computer or tablet systems, and report security-related concerns. The role includes a Friday-through-Sunday schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $15.24 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and help control access to restricted areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entry points, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
Document access activity, incidents, and irregular conditions accurately and promptly according to site procedures.
