About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned corporate building site in New York, NY. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary depending on claimed shifts, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $20.00 per hour.

The officer supports a professional financial-services environment by assisting employees, visitors, and customers, monitoring access, patrolling the facility, and responding to incidents. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders.
