About The Position

As a Security Officer for Cemetery Patrol in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout grounds, walkways, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor visitor activity and access points, assist with directions and general information, and report suspicious behavior, trespassing, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required reports, logs, and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and/or daily activity, while maintaining a professional presence in an outdoor and indoor environment.
