As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Response in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and community partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shelter facilities, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with maintaining orderly operations in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff communications for security-related events and observations.
