As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Site Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to incidents in alignment with site procedures. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established procedures, verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
