As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Site Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a government location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and community partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
  • Support a respectful and professional environment by communicating clearly with diverse populations and coordinating with site personnel and public-service partners as needed.
