About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in De Soto, Kansas, supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role safeguards clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, managing access control, and providing customer service. The officer communicates professionally, uses technology to document observations, and responds to security concerns with integrity. The schedule is overnight: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:45 PM–7:15 AM. The pay rate is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and other assigned systems; report irregularities according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
