As a Security Officer Entry Inspection in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen people and materials, and support security-related procedures. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and report observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of personal belongings, shipments, and restricted-access areas as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
